Thank you for your interest in learning a little bit more about me! I am a board-certified psychiatrist with nearly 20 years of clinical experience. I have practiced in a number of different environments including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric emergency departments, substance abuse detoxification units, and public and private outpatient mental health clinics. I also spent a year abroad working in a variety of clinical settings in New Zealand.
Throughout my early career, I became increasingly aware of the limitations of a mostly medication-centered approach to mental health care. Many of the individuals I worked with were high-functioning on the surface—successful in their careers and responsibilities—but privately struggling with focus, mental clarity, motivation, and a sense that they were no longer operating at their full potential.
Despite thoughtful treatment, many continued to experience only partial relief. That realization led me to pursue a more comprehensive, root-cause-oriented approach.
Curious to learn more about this phenomenon, I completed advanced integrative medicine fellowship training through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, where I developed a deeper understanding of how factors such as inflammation, sleep quality, gut health, metabolic function, and chronic stress directly impact brain performance and emotional well-being.
As I began integrating these principles into my clinical work, I saw a shift—patients who had plateaued with conventional care began to experience more meaningful and sustained improvements, particularly in cognitive function, energy, and overall resilience.
Today, my work is focused on helping high-functioning adults who feel “stuck” break through that plateau. My approach blends the best of conventional psychiatry with targeted, evidence-informed integrative strategies to address the underlying drivers of cognitive and emotional symptoms—not just manage them.
If you feel like you’re doing everything right but still not thinking clearly, performing consistently, or feeling your best, you’re not alone—and there is a path forward. This work is a collaborative partnership, focused on restoring clarity, building resilience, and helping you return to a higher level of functioning and well-being.
